Mozilla dropped PowerPC support for FireFox over a year ago.

Your web browser is huge because it connects you to so much content, having a current and secure browser that is optimized for your system and updated regularly is crucial and TenFourFox fills that role for PowerPC users. I’m up to my knees in PowerPC and I don’t feel the need to upgrade to Intel just quite yet.

If you want to read about some of the trials and tribulations that the team encountered with this release you can see it at the TenFourFox Development Blog.

You can find system specific builds (G3,G4,G5) from TenFourFox

Visit xtremetop100.com/world-of-warcraft and sign up for any server that supports 3.3.5 (Almost every server does)

If you have already patched your current version of WOW to 4.0 from 3.3.5, you will have to reinstall.

Go to wowwiki.com/Patch_mirrors. Using the links provided, download and patch your WOW install all the way to 3.3.5

Before you log in you must first patch your realmlist.wtf file, so you log onto the private server and not Blizzards. To do this navigate to Applications ->World of Warcraft->Data->enUS->realmlist.wtf. Open with text edit and replace the first line with the serer address provided by the private server. Save the file.

You can now log in and play WOW on your PowerPC.

If you are having trouble I would be happy to help you out. Just leave a post below in the comments.

Don’t wait until it’s to late. Leave no app behind, back them all up, now!

Let me highlight the key points first so you can decide if you wanna read on. Secure. Offsite. $5 a month. Unlimited backup space. Interested?

So, How exactly does BackBlaze work?

You download a tiny application that installs in three clicks and doesn’t require a credit card or any information to start using it. This internet backup application automatically finds all your photos, music, documents, and other irreplaceable files—no matter where they are on your hard drive—and compresses and securely encrypts them.

You can get the free trail here. backblaze.com (Intel Only, OS 10.5+)

Mac App Store submissions started rolling into Apple around the 3rd of November. So the store it self should be fairly well stocked at the time of launch.

I love the idea of the Mac App Store simply for the fact that it will be so convenient to discover new apps. There is no doubt that all apps available for OS X will not be in the app store, but I believe it will still benefit the majority of OS X users.

The Mac App Store has another benefit as well, updates! All apps installed via the app store will also be able to receive updates directly through the app store. This centralized update hub should definitely help to keep everyone up to date with the freshest software release.

When it was first introduced back in 2004 it was very fast and pretty powerful. But after five years of using Firefox, it became old.
Firefox 4 brings a lot of great new stuff to the table. It’s incredibly quick, due to new accelerated hardware support and the UI has been polished and simplified. It also comes with support for HTML5/WebM video. Allowing you to enjoy open HD quality video natively inside of Firefox. Improved crash protection also protects you from misbehaving plugins that usually crash the whole app, now only the plugin is affected, leaving you other work intact.

Other new features include:

WebGL – web standard that provides a 3D graphics API implemented in a web browser without the use of plug-ins

WebSockets - a technology providing for bi-directional, full-duplex communications channels (Makes page loading faster)

Web Console – web-based application that allows remote users to execute UNIX/Windows shell commands on a server, upload/download files to/from server, edit text files directly on a server, etc
