I’m always out of space. Looking at Drobo. Saves me from a single disk failure, but makes me wonder how likely a total-Drobo-failure is and the odds of losing everything. I don’t think it’s been out long enough for anyone to really know what those odds are. Naturally critical stuff won’t reside exclusively on the Drobo.

Time Machine supports all plug and play drives. Time Capsule is pretty fancy though.

Can the Western Digital My Book be used with the Time Machine Software on OS X? Or does it require you to buy an Apple Time Capsule (or whatever they call their external hard drive).
