Do something fun with your Mac! -Motion sensing games for your Mac laptop.

Chances are you have no shortage of work to do on your Mac. But life is short. Take some time out of your day to enjoy these fun little motion sensing Mac apps!

Tunnel - This is a tribute to Tunnel, an awesome arcade game one can play on an hp48 calculator. Simple, responsive and addictive. What else does a good game need? So I decided to make a mac port of it, but this one can only be controlled by tilting your laptop. Simply download and double click to launch. (Leopard Only)

netPong – Pretty self explanatory. It’s a networked version of pong that allows you to play against a friend on your local network. To play alone, just launch it. Tilt your computer to control the paddle. To play with a friend, make sure both of you are in the same local network. One of you has to start his copy of Pong, and the other should start his after 5-10 seconds… No other setup needs to be done! (Universal)

Skip Checker – Skip Checker is very unique and useful app. It continuously monitors your macs sms (sudden motion sensor) data. The program allows you to set thresholds, that once reached, can trigger different actions. A good example would be setting it up so slightly tipping your mac to the right will cause iTunes to skip on track forward, tip to the left, and it goes back one.

As you can see, They are still a fresh idea in the minds of developers. But I’m sure we will be seeing more to come in the not so distant future. -Enjoy!

Papaya- You’ll wonder how you got along without it

Papaya is essentially your own media/web server hosted on your mac. The cool thing is. It is as simple as dragging and dropping files. And it’s uses are endless. My favorite being a video server for my iPod touch. Simply drag and drop all of your video files into Papaya and they instantly become available to your iPod/iPhone. All you have to do is navigate to your computers IP address and bam, all your movies and files on the go. Why not make your whole Mac available? The included password protecting makes it a feasible idea. That way no matter where you go all of your files are only an internet connection away.

Follow Me:

Twitter.com/lwestlie-I really didn’t get on the twiiter band wagon until just a few weeks ago. But once I did. I was addcited. I’m not really sure what I like about it so much. But honestly, I visit twitter twice as much as digg. I guess I like it because it is an easy way for everyone to share what they are doing, not so much as news, but personal things.
