Xslimmer

Software/Freeware 1 1 Comment

Looking to speed up your Mac and regain some HD space? of course you are. Well, it just so happens I know of the perfect app. Xslimmer offers it self up as a handy universal app. The way it works is by removing code and languages that your computer does not use. Most Universal apps themselves have many megabytes of code which are not being used. It can free up anywhere from 1 to 60MBs per app. I ran Xslimmer and it freed up 3.5GBs of space over 27 apps!  So why not give it a try. Download Xslimmer

-Excerpt from site: Xslimmer not only frees space wasted by unused code, it can even increase your Mac’s performance. Some of our users have reported applications loading in almost half the time, because OS X does not need to analyze Xslimmed applications in search for the most suitable version of the code.

So you opted to pick up pick up on of those sub $250 Blu-Ray Drives from somewhere on the internet. Only to find you have no way of getting your mac to understand what the hell you just put inside of it. Your problems are no more with Roxio’s new Toast Titanium 8. It adds the ability to use a burn folder with your Blu-Ray drive just like you would with any other sort of blank media. However, for the time being, there still is no playback software that I am aware of that works with mac. From what I hear though, you can expect it very soon.

    Bux.to

Pyramid scheme? well, most likely. But its absolutely free. bux.to wants to pay you to check out there ads. Advertisers pay them to display their ads on the site. Then users get paid $.10 to click on that ad and stay there for at least 30 seconds. I got two people under me and I’m already at $4.30. Doesn’t sound like much, but, whenever I’m bored I just head on over and make some free cash.!

    ATI Launches new card!

    Uncategorized 0 No Comments

The ATI Radeon HD 3450 is supposedly aimed at Home Theater machines. Although it seems like it ads a lot of bang for your buck to any system. For starters, It’s MSRP is $49 Seeing that made me skeptical. But with 256MB of GDDR3 RAM and a core running @1GHz. I feel it is up to even the most demanding tasks. As you can see it is a low profile card utilizing PCI express 2.0. Sporting DVI and S-Video outputs. All in all, an amazing card for the price.

    Apple’s First Quarter..

Apple | Uncategorized 0 No Comments

Looks pretty good. Shipping out a total of 2,319,000 Macs (a growth of 47%) and 22,121,000 iPods (a growth of 17%). Which is a 1.58B profit for Apple in the first quarter of ’08. I am also suspecting that the new iTunes movie rental service will bring in some extra cash as well. No word however and the consumers response to the Macbook Air. However it would be great if you could leave your opinion on the matter over there —> in the poll

So you wanna watch some tv..

    Uncategorized | Web 2.0.fuTurE 0 No Comments

But all you got is your laptop. Well your in luck cause I just so happen to know of one of the best free online TV sites there is.

Surfthechannel.com is a 100% free website that has access to over 75,000 different TV shows. New and Old. From “I Love Lucy” to every season of “The Simpons” your sure to find something you will enjoy. I personally enjoy watching some good ol’ Start Trek: The Next Generation. However STC doesn’t stop there they also have hundreds of movies. From new release like “I am Legend” and “Juno” to older classics like “The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly”

As far as quality goes. It is pretty damn impressive. I would say, for most videos, about twice the resolution of youtube videos. the videos are streamed over flash, and most videos are split up into two or three parts. However you do not need to leave the page to go find the other parts so it’s not a major inconvenience. All and all an amazing site. But hey, don’t take my word for it. Head on over now to Surfthechannel.com and start watching!
